Offering a safe space for young people to learn, explore and succeed
Providing local learning centres where young people are inspired to achieve.
IntoUniversity centres offer a welcoming home-from-home for young people: a safe space to learn, explore and succeed. Each local centre offers an innovative programme that supports young people aged seven and up to realise their ambitions, achieve their academic potential, develop vital skills and gain experience of the world of work.
Alongside the universities of Northumbria and Newcastle, our partnership with the Buffini Chao Foundation has been key to establishing our Newcastle centre in Walker over the past few years.
The centre now works with over 1,200 local young people, delivering vital programmes alongside our school partners to help our students realise their ambitions.
“We are very proud to partner with the Buffini Chao Foundation on our work in Newcastle. Their local connection to the area, and keen interest in supporting young people in Newcastle has shone through from the start, and their vital support from the outset of the project was absolutely key to establishing an IntoUniversity learning centre in Walker.” – John Bleasdale, Director of Development
