The Community Foundation for Surrey is a philanthropic charity inspiring local giving for local needs. It works with donors who want to give something back to their local communities and voluntary groups providing vital services for local people and disadvantaged individuals. Their local knowledge helps supporters connect with projects that may otherwise be missed.
The Buffini Chao Foundation partnered with the Community Foundation in 2013 to support vital local youth projects giving young people opportunities, confidence, skills and access to facilities and sports. Since then, the Buffini Chao Foundation has supported 39 grants for local causes.
This includes Leatherhead Youth Project’s Total Football and Girls Group schemes for disadvantaged young people, Skillway’s bursaries for young people at-risk of exclusion to access alternative education provision and Freewheelers Theatre Group’s youth dance workshops for young people with disabilities.
